I love mushrooms, I don’t care if they are raw or cooked, I’ll eat them. I remember when I was little we were getting ready for New Years Eve. The table was laid out with dips, chips and other finger foods. I saw the bowl of button mushrooms sitting next to some onion dip and I couldn’t resist. I took one, then another and another. What I didn’t know is that if I ate too many they would cause me to become bloated. That was not a pleasant New Year for me but I learned that at least raw mushrooms had that affect on me. So now I stick with the cooked variety. Something about them being cooked takes away what made raw ones gases for me. Do I now never eat them raw? No, I still eat them, but now just one or two. The rest get cooked.
